Independent AI Research

Skindell Research

Skindell Research is the independent research program of Justin Skindell. The work focuses on Emergent Systems Architecture, identity-like behavioral organization, long-form coherence, and the broader design of interpretable AI systems.

Current status: Emergent Systems Architecture is now available through Skindell Research. Direct paper access is available on the Publications page. External index and mirror links, including arXiv, will be added when available.

Research Focus

Skindell Research studies how stable behavior, recognizable styles, and identity-like organization arise in stateless language-model interaction. The program combines empirical behavior mapping, systems framing, and design-oriented analysis to examine how these patterns form, stabilize, and transfer across sessions and model families.

Program Direction

ESA is the first formal publication in a broader research program. Future work will expand the vocabulary, methods, and practical tooling needed to study coherence, attractor formation, and structured role behavior across deployed AI systems.
